George Dyck Interview - February 2025

I just learned of another piece of good news, and I wanted to share it with you this week while it's still fresh. Trucker George Dyck, from Aylmer, ON, was a major participant in the 2022 Freedom Convoy. He was featured in a CBC article (the picture shown below), where he stated that he felt a push from God that he needed to attend the convoy, and the CBC wrote an article on the faith component of many at the Freedom Convoy.

At the time he was a long haul trucker, and he tells me he was charged for passing back and forth over the border without being vaccinated. At the time, if you weren't vaccinated, you had to quarantine for two weeks, which made earning a living as a cross-border trucker impossible. When George continued to carry loads back and forth to earn a living and provide for his family, they charged him with a $6250 fine for attempting to return to Canada while not being vaccinated.

George decided to fight that ticket in court, and after spending about $10,000 in legal fees, and going through the legal process the last two years, he just found out his charges were dropped. He doesn't know why, but he's glad they're gone.

This is great news! The government's mandates still disrupted George's life. After he realized he couldn't do cross-border trucking, he got another job at about half the pay hauling loads in Canada.
