AeroGauge is a futuristic hover-racing game released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Locomotive Corporation and published by ASCII Entertainment. The game features high-speed, anti-gravity racing in a style reminiscent of titles like F-Zero and Wipeout, with sleek, futuristic vehicles competing across various tracks. Players can select from a range of AeroMachines, each with different handling, speed, and acceleration stats, and must navigate challenging courses filled with sharp turns, jumps, and hazards. The game’s boost system allows players to increase their speed momentarily, but excessive use can lead to overheating, adding a layer of strategy to the high-speed action.

Despite its ambitious concept, AeroGauge received mixed reviews due to its steep learning curve, sensitive controls, and limited content. The game’s graphics and vehicle designs were praised for their futuristic aesthetic, but the overall experience was hindered by slippery handling mechanics and a lack of track variety. While it provided a fast-paced and visually engaging racing experience, it struggled to stand out against other established futuristic racers on the N64. However, for fans of high-speed, anti-gravity racing, AeroGauge remains an interesting, albeit challenging, entry in the genre.

This is my attempt at some gameplay
