Politicians' war against freedom of expression

🇨🇦🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺| They are democratically elected & yet want to be untouchable, like autocratic rulers.

“Lèse Majesté”. The new §188 of the German Criminal Code makes it possible. Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck has tasted blood: he has sued citizens 805 times. The latest victim is an ex-soldier. He called Habeck a moron on X, after which the police appeared at his door. Foreign Minister Baerbock filed 513 lawsuits. But the two Greens are topped by FDP “arms lobbyist” Strack-Zimmermann: over 1,900 lawsuits since February 2023. Behind them are specialized law firms that search the web using AI. How small & pathetic must such politicians be inside?

I, too, am regularly insulted online, but I don't file criminal charges for it. Freedom of expression is more important to me in case of doubt. I can take criticism, even harsh and insulting ones. Criminal charges are no substitute for a lack of self-confidence.

Kind regards,
Yours, Christine Anderson, MEP
