Today, Thursday, February 13, 2025, the Hayward area experienced a series of small earthquakes along the Hayward Fault. The sequence began with a magnitude 2.7 tremor at 5:03 a.m., followed by a magnitude 3.3 quake at 11:52 a.m., and a magnitude 3.2 just two minutes later. The most significant event was a magnitude 3.7 earthquake near Hayward at 1:59 p.m., felt across the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Berkeley, Concord, and Fremont. Despite over 2,200 reports from residents who felt the shaking, there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Authorities are conducting inspections of infrastructure, including the subway system, and have warned of potential minor delays.
