Now is the time to organize for new, profound solutions to the multiple crises in Ukraine, Southwest Asia, and other parts of the world. Lyndon LaRouche’s 1975 proposal to Iraqi, Palestinian and Israeli officials to transform Southwest Asia from a desert into a oasis through nuclear power plants, canals, and new cities will be taken up on tomorrow’s International Peace Coalition meeting, which will feature Her Excellency Naledi Pandor, former Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa. She represents one of few articulate voices for diplomacy and cooperation, whose action at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to hold Israel to account for their genocidal acts in the Gaza Strip indicates the kind of intervention needed from the Global South to bring about a new, just security and development architecture, as Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche has consistently called for.

Speaking to a Schiller Institute conference in December 2024, Pandor said:

“It is incumbent on all of us to adopt the ideas set out in the Schiller Institute development framework to really ensure that all the aspects of human endeavor which advance human progress are embraced by governments in the South as well as governments in the North. We should encourage a new human relation across the world; one that is devoted to empowering all human beings and ensuring that we develop a more prosperous, a more engaged, a more skilled humanity able to address the fundamental problems that confront all of us. Because alongside the problems, we have a human capacity—an ingenuity—of problem resolution; and we need to unite in drawing that capacity together.”

Everyone should mobilize to bring people to tomorrow’s IPC meeting at 11am EST. In the United States, the key nomination of Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence (DNI) has just been confirmed in the U.S. Senate. Just today, Robert F. Kennedy Jr was also confirmed for Director of the HHS. Despite all the pressure put on Gabbard, the work of the LaRouche Organization in insisting that she be allowed to come into the present administration, shows that citizens can have a meaningful effect in shaping policy.

Tonight’s Fireside Chat will feature activists from the LaRouche Organization who participated in that mobilization. Speakers: Jose Vega, Robert Castle, and Morgan Blythe
