Viktor Orbán: "The European Union is in a very serious crisis, and the reason the European Union is in such trouble is because it is trying to make policies against the people.

So, while the people clearly say that they do not want immigration, Brussels continues to support a pro-immigration stance. I think the overwhelming majority of people in Europe want peace.

The European Union, however, wants to win a war against Russia. The European people, on the other hand, want to protect the purchasing power of their wages, they want policies that support the middle class, and what they get is the opposite. They are becoming poorer.

And we also have a democracy problem in the European Union, because there is a ruling elite that is unwilling to recognize what the people expect from it on important issues, and is unwilling to incorporate this democratic will into its own policies. If this is the case, there is a democracy problem."
