The guys from the special forces went to probe the enemy's defense in the Kremensky forest, video from the helmet camera of a sniper, whose subgroup remained a little behind in order to support with fire, if necessary, the combat trio of scouts who went a little ahead.
The advance three encountered the enemy, a firefight ensued, then the enemy fired at the guys with a mortar, one was 300 (wounded), then smoke was used and they retreated back to the main group, after which the entire group retreated and the wounded were evacuated.
Unfortunately, reconnaissance does not always go perfectly, but the guys completed their task and “copied” the enemy’s positions.
Ideally, of course, a scout should sketch the enemy, remain unnoticed and report, but in the realities of today's war, this happens very rarely, too many tools for observation are used on both sides.
And this video illustrates the degree of complexity of the tasks performed by intelligence officers.
