The DNR is looking for signs of wolves in the Northern Lower Peninsula and they need your help. They are accepting submissions of evidence of wolves starting next Monday through March 10th. While the straits of Mackinac continue to be a major obstacle for the animals, there’s evidence of lone wolves in Northern Michigan going back to 2004. The last community survey found two credible wolf reports in Kalkaska and Montmorency counties. To submit evidence on wolves, visit michigan.gov/dnr. David Barr Michigan News Source.
