Unearthed videos and articles are being circulated on X – of the Judge who blocked President Donald Trump from cutting waste, fraud and overspending from USAID.
Judge Jack McConnel has now become the center of controversy after videos show him calling Trump a tyrant and articles that seem to show he paid to get his position.
People are pointing to a 2010 article from Politico – that reveals that McConnell donated more than $700 thousand dollars to Democrats, essentially buying his lifetime judicial seat. Including thousands to Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse—the very senators who handpicked him for Obama – then voted to confirm.
The article details how McConnells donations were significantly more than any other Obama appointees – with the next in line being now Supreme court justice Elena Kagan who donated $12,000.
At the time Sen. Jeff Sessions called it “pay to play,” accusing McConnell of suing corporations, so his firm could rake in big bucks, which would then be “plowed” back into Democratic campaigns.
