Dr Peter Boghossian recently invited Bill Ligertwood onto his podcast to discuss why the New Atheist movement failed. He was one of the largest organizers of atheist conferences in the world. He and his wife organized and managed the INR (Imagine No Religion) conferences, which took place in Canada. They also discuss some of the related political aspects that caused this religious movement to simply die out. Leaders like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, the late great Christopher Hitchens, and others, either literally died, or their credibility did for one side of the political aisle. And that is the heart of this discussion - why a religious movement should be apolitical
