Rep. Robert Garcia Shows Just How Low Dems Can Go With Desperate Attack On Elon From The House Floor

Posted • February 12, 2025: If Democrats had any sense, they would be trying to join in with the DOGE effort so that the American people might actually think they care. But it tells you everything about them when they're actually fighting the effort to clean up fraud, waste, and abuse. Not only that but they're demonizing the guy who's willing to do it for free, smearing and attacking Elon Musk. The DOGE subcommittee had their first meeting on Wednesday in the House. But if you thought that Democrats on the subcommittee were going to actually care about doing away with fraud and abuse, you would be wrong. First, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) made it clear that they weren't going to work with their Republican colleagues, that they were going to do everything they could to obstruct the subcommittee. Notice the anchor Ali Vitali kept trying to set him with questions first about subpoenaing Musk, then asking Garcia if being on "subcommittees like this" doesn't normalize it and saying it is going about in "anything but normal capacity."

Democrat Rep. Garcia reveals that he's only participating in the DOGE subcommittee to stifle and delay the process. Yes, how dare you have a subcommittee to deal with fraud, waste, and abuse! You horrible people. Garcia said they were going to call out the "corruption" -- even as they are trying to obstruct Musk and DOGE from doing just that. Garcia said he had "zero interest" in working with the Republicans or helping them with DOGE. So then why are they even there? They shouldn't even be on the subcommittee if they have no intention of working on it. Then when the subcommittee was in session, Garcia demonstrated how twisted the Democrats are.

Garcia accused the richest man in the world of wanting to take the money and give it to his rich friends, an attack that's a lie based on nothing and isn't even possible, given that DOGE only has "read only" access to anything. Garcia also attacked the young age of some of the DOGE team members and made reference to a Kendrick Lamar song line, "a minor," apparently not understanding what that line meant either. Rob Garcia attempts to slam Elon Musk and DOGE staffers by trying to be hip and break out a line from a Kendrick Lamar song. "They're trying to rob you and they're probably A MINOR." How lame is that? And speaking of accountability, they have accountability -- to DOGE and President Donald Trump, as part of the Executive Office of the President. Plus they are operating with agency teams in each agency in their effort, including a team leader, a Human Resources person, and an attorney, according to the executive order.

So Garcia is just talking out of his hat and lying without anything to support his claim that they're "trying to rob you." Could Democrats embarrass themselves anymore? Why, yes. Yes, they can. Garcia wasn't done quite yet. He said he wanted to pull out a "d*ck pic" because the chair of the subcommittee, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had done so in the prior Congress. Except of course, Greene's picture was related to questions about Hunter Biden and allegations about the Biden family. Garcia's picture was just an example of Garcia being immature. -- Rep.
