**Ingredients:**

- **For the Vermicelli Mixture:**
- 1½ tablespoons pure clarified butter (asli ghee)
- ½ cup crushed vermicelli (sawaiyan)
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
- 1 liter milk (doodh)
- ½ cup sugar (cheeni) or to taste
- 1 tablespoon custard powder
- ¼ cup milk (for dissolving custard powder)
- 2 pieces of kalakand (a type of milk-based sweet)

- **For the Topping:**
- 2 tablespoons pure clarified butter (asli ghee)
- ½ packet crushed vermicelli (sawaiyan)
- ¼ cup crushed pistachios and almonds (pista & badam)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (cheeni) or to taste
- 4-5 tablespoons dry milk powder

**Instructions:**

1. **Prepare the Vermicelli Mixture:**
- In a pot, melt 1½ tablespoons of pure clarified butter over medium heat.
- Add ½ cup of crushed vermicelli and sauté for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden.
- Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well.
- Pour in 1 liter of milk, stir thoroughly, and bring to a boil.
- Add ½ cup of sugar (or adjust to taste), mix until dissolved, and cook until the milk thickens slightly, stirring occasionally (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- In a separate bowl, dissolve 1 tablespoon of custard powder in ¼ cup of milk.
- Gradually add the dissolved custard to the pot, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- Turn off the heat, add 2 pieces of crumbled kalakand, and mix until well incorporated. Set aside.

2. **Prepare the Topping:**
- In a frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of pure clarified butter over low heat.
- Add ½ packet of crushed vermicelli and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Incorporate ¼ cup of crushed pistachios and almonds, mixing well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar (or adjust to taste) until dissolved.
- Turn off the heat, add 4-5 tablespoons of dry milk powder, and mix thoroughly. Set aside.

3. **Assemble the Dessert:**
- In a serving dish, layer half of the prepared topping mixture.
- Pour the cooked vermicelli mixture over the topping.
- Finish with the remaining topping mixture.
- Garnish with additional chopped almonds and pistachios if desired.
- Serve warm or chilled as per preference.
