Awaken Bible Prophecy Update 2-12-25 – Rethinking Antichrist

This has got to be the most conflicted Prophecy Update I’ve ever done. As I thought about the topic, I went back and forth in my mind – pro and con -and kept saying, “No, this just can’t be.” Of course, the problem was that this took up several hours during the night when I would have preferred to be sleeping. Instead, I ended up mentally wrestling with myself.

What, you ask, could have been such a difficult subject that I couldn’t turn it off? I really did try to give it to God, asking for peace and even possible confirmation or negation. To the best of my understanding, I got neither so far, so the truth of the matter remains in limbo and you’ll get what I got – wherever that leaves us.

The issue at hand revolves once more around the identity of the Antichrist. I’ve speculated on this in the past because it’s so fascinating to consider, and it’s one of those mysteries that most of us conclude can’t be solved until the day of his unveiling. This may or may not be true given the Biblical text. There have been some Bible teachers who have said that we can indeed discern this person using our Holy Spirit-given wisdom and intellect. If this is the case, then where do we stand concerning this future enigmatic figure? Is there the possibility that someone today has many of the markings of the man of perdition?
