Arizona congressman Eli Crane has announced that he’s filing articles of impeachment against Manhattan-based Judge Paul A. Engelmayer for blocking Elon Musk and DOGE from accessing Treasury Department payment systems.

Musk is a government employee who has been tasked by President Donald Trump to find waste, fraud and overspending in the government. $6 Trillion in payments run through the treasury each year with Musk already revealing that they were ordered by the Biden administration to approve all payments even if the organization was known to be fraudulent or non-existent.

Crane saying on X,

Partisan judges abusing their positions is a threat to democracy. The left has done “irreparable harm” to this country. President Trump and his team at DOGE are trying to fix it.

This is obviously judicial overreach. Where in the constitution does it say a President and his team cannot root out obvious waste, fraud and abuse?

Senator Tom Cotton echoed his thoughts saying,  The idea that an unelected district court judge can block the Secretary of Treasury (appointed by the elected president, confirmed by the elected Senate) from accessing Treasury's data is outrageous.

It's counter to our entire system of government.
