Imagine being able to go back in time and have a conversation with your younger self. What would you say? Would you offer comforting advice, share life lessons, or give warnings about what’s to come? That’s the comedic premise of My Old Ass, a buzzed-about film from writer and director Megan Park, best known for The Edge of Seventeen.

In this funny and thought-provoking movie, 18-year-old Elliott Labrant (Maisy Stella) is enjoying a camping trip with her friends, getting high and letting loose, when suddenly, a 39-year-old version of herself (played by the inimitable Aubrey Plaza) shows up to crash the party. Far from the sentimental meeting either of them might have imagined, the connection between past and future proves to be a mind-blowing trip filled with laughs and unexpected life lessons.

With a mix of humor, heart, and plenty of surprises, My Old Ass explores the bizarre and often funny relationship we have with the passage of time and the people we become.

Starring: Maisy Stella, Percy Hynes White, Maddie Ziegler, Kerrice Brooks, and Aubrey Plaza.
