United States President Donald Trump’s ‘border Czar’ Tom Homan has pledged to take on sanctuary cities.

Mr Homan said sanctuary cities are putting “every roadblock up possible” while immigration enforcement operations sweep through major US cities.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has already begun conducting raids to crack down on cross-border crime and undocumented immigration.

These raids are part of President Trump’s goal to tackle illegal migration and migrant crime.

President Trump, on his first day in office, signed ten executive orders relating to immigration.

Mr Homan pledged to “double the manpower” in sanctuary cities to help with these operations.
