Two of the last 26 residents who remained in Ugledar after it was liberated by the Russian army told us how the Ukrainian army shelled the town on the first day of the special military operation with a Tochka-U missile, both to blame Russia and to make the civilians leave. Those who did not leave after that saw the Ukrainian army gradually destroy all the vital infrastructure, then use their flats and the courtyards of their buildings as firing points. Ukrainian soldiers also regularly threatened to shoot them.
