In an official and luxurious banquet that was held at the gates of King Charles's residence in Gloucestershire, he and Queen Camilla celebrated the benefits of food and slow fashion with 80 prominent guests. This party, which was a combination of authentic Italian Slow Food & Fashion flavors and organic products grown in Britain, brought together figures such as Helen Mirren, Donatella Versace, David and Victoria Beckham, Stanley Tucci and other prominent people.

In his short speech, King Charles expressed his delight that the slow food movement, which he has always been passionate about, has finally found its rightful place.

He explained how food choices help define cultures and bring people together. He also warned that food production methods are directly related to the future of the planet.

One of the key figures of this banquet was Carlo Petrini, a culinary writer and the founder of the Slow Food Movement, who founded this movement in 1986 in protest against the opening of a McDonald's branch in Piazza di Spagna, Rome.

They have a close friendship.

This banquet was a continuation of Charles's efforts to promote sustainable agricultural practices and consumption of seasonal foods, which he first mentioned in his historic speech in 2004 in Turin, Italy and warned against the industrialization of agriculture and food homogenization.

The dishes of this banquet were completely Italian, but all the ingredients were prepared from different parts of the UK, from Scotland to Somerset, and were carefully selected over months.
