Rep. Dan Goldman Endorses Zellnor Myrie in NYC Mayoral Democratic Primary

Rep. Dan Goldman (D - NY) held a press conference Monday morning after announcing his endorsement of New York State Senator Zellnor Myrie in the NYC mayoral Democratic primary

Myrie is running to unseat incumbent Mayor Eric Adams, who is running for a second term in office. Adams faces numerous primary challengers ahead of the June 24th Democratic Party primary

Goldman, who is currently serving his second term as a U.S. House Representative for New York's 10th congressional district, described his reasons for the endorsement, which included supporting Myrie's plan for increased affordable housing in the city. He also touted Myrie as someone willing to push back against Trump in a mayoral capacity, which Goldman said he had his own experience with in his role as lead counsel for the first impeachment inquiry against Trump in 2019

Goldman and Myrie both took questions from reporters after giving remarks at the press conference, which was held in City Hall Park in Lower Manhattan
