After Mainstream Outlets told us for the past 3 years that no country has the right to invade another one and that Russia's "unprovoked" attack on Ukraine cannot be justified by any security considerations because every nation is free to choose its own path and alliances, we are now back in a world in which the New York Times can openly advocate for a US military attack on Venezuela simply because it does not like its leader, Nicolas Maduro, who was just sworn in for a third 6 year term as its president. Venezuela poses no threat to the US, has no power over the US, is a poor due to US sanctions, but still, the US seems to have not only the right but the moral duty to attack it if necessary because that's not the kind or person some people in Washington want to see at the helm of another sovereign nation.

The following article by one of Washington's chief-propagandists, Bret Stephens, is really quite something but tells us a lot about the still prevalent mindset of the neocon "journalist" class in the USA.
