Tons of popular chefs have been on YouTube lately combining their favorite foods for an even better dish – like Rice Krispies cheesecake, or macaroni and cheese quesadillas. We met with Hearth 61 chef Alfred Muro at Mountain Shadows who showed us how to create some crazy food combos from our favorite dishes!

There have been numerous chefs lately on YouTube sharing recipes that combine their favorite foods to create an even better dish. Some of the more popular examples are “rice crispy cheesecake” and “Mac and cheese quesadillas.” Some of these recipes may seem a little odd and strange at first, but if you get up enough courage to try a few of them, you may be surprised by how much you like them.

The first dish combo in the video that Chef Muro presents is “Bratwurst Flatbread Pizza.” This dish is a winner for anyone who enjoys eclectic pizzas and meaty dishes. Some ingredients include aged cheddar, Dijon mustard, German sausage bratwurst, onion, etc. Roll out the flatbread dough, and then add all the toppings. Remember to always put the cheese on last so that it will keep all of your ingredients in place.

Pop your creation in the oven at 450 degrees for eight to ten minutes, and you’re done! The fun thing about pizzas of any kind is that you can literally create any combination of dishes that you can think of. There is not much that wouldn’t fit in on a pizza somehow, someway. This is a great place to start with creative cooking if you are just getting into some of these more risky dishes for fun.

The next recipe gives viewers a great new way to enjoy a sweet treat in a very interesting way. Sweets should be anything but boring. Try a dessert taco at your next get together! This would be an especially fun activity to do with friends at an informal dinner party. Everyone can create their own dessert taco, ensuring that all of your guests get their dessert exactly as they prefer. The taco shell itself is made from waffle cone batter.

For a dinner party, it is probably best to go ahead and have these premade before your guests arrive. When it is time for dessert, each person just needs to fill their taco shell with their desired ingredients that you have already prepped and laid out to be picked from. The ingredients used in the video to make this dish include candied cilantro, bananas, chocolate pearls, strawberries, hazelnut, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla ice cream. A good tip from the chef here is to first fill the corners with the marshmallow fluff before putting in any other toppings. This will ensure that all of the other ingredients stay put exactly where they need to be.

One of the oddest, but possibly most interesting examples is this next one: the “strawberry balsamic salad cocktail.” This may sound really odd, but people swear that it is an incredible edible treat. It is also quite pretty in its presentation. This drink combines whiskey, fruit, egg white foam, topped with spinach leaves.
