LIBERTY CANNOT EXIST INSIDE A PANOPTICON | TRUTHSTREAM MEDIA

Liberty is not possible in an ommipresent surveillance panopticon because part of being at liberty is having one's privacy secure. Our Fourth Amendment to the Bill of Rights is based upon this very idea. After seeing Oracle's Ellison in the WH on day two, I thought it appropriate to make this 30-min. mini doc to explain a brief history of the Panopticon and what it really is: a machine that can be used to modify the behaviors of those inside of it in any way its controllers see fit.

As EFF's Schneier said, "Too many wrongly characterize the debate as 'security versus privacy.' The real choice is liberty versus control."
