02.09.25 Now Is the Day to Be Superman or Wonder Woman

While a lot of us ACIM students like to say that many different Workbook lessons are their "favorite," I honestly can say a Workbook lesson we had this week #38 is mine. "There is nothing my holiness cannot do." (OrEd.WkBk.38) Just remembering that line makes me feel like a "super hero." Even greater! Superman could be stopped by kryptonite but nothing can stop us, because – as the lesson tells us – there is nothing our holiness cannot do. "Your holiness, then, can remove all pain, can end all sorrow, and can solve all problems. It can do so in connection with yourself and with anyone else." (OrEd.WkBk.38.1)

When we connect with our Christ self the total energy of the universe is there for us to command. There is nothing that we cannot heal. There is no kryptonite to make us weak. There can be an appearance of weakness, but that is only because we have allowed guilt and fear to take up residence in our consciousness. The problem isn't that guilt and fear show up in our home. The problem is than we welcome them there. We tell them to sit down in our favorite stuffed chair and make themselves comfortable. We go get them a cold drink! (FYI: This is what a metaphor actually is just in case you need to know.)

We have to realize that guilt and fear – and the voice that speaks for them (the ego) – does not belong in our home, and will just walk through and out if we don't make it too comfortable. The ego is a stranger in our mind and should be related to as such. "There is a stranger in him who wandered carelessly into the home of truth, and who will wander off. He came without a purpose, but he will not remain before the shining light the Holy Spirit offered and you accepted. For there the stranger is made homeless and you are welcome." (OrEd.Tx.20.22)

Don't be concerned when the ego wanders in. Just be aware, and don't decide to be a "good host" to it. It will wander off, because it is not at home in our all powerful holiness.

Dwell now, today, in the unlimited power which is at our command. It's way more fun than listening to the ego. Being Superman or Wonder Woman is today's joyful mission.
