In an incident resonant with the Israeli “pager attacks” on Hezbollah, a batch of glasses for use by Russian drone operators was found to be booby-trapped, as per TASS. The devices were reportedly provided by an anonymous supplier in response to a request by Russian volunteers, the report said.
Each contained a plastic explosives charge designed to detonate when the devices were switched on, as per the report. The report is based on information provided by an official identified as Igor Potapov, who was tasked with supplying military equipment to Russian force.
The Chinese Skyzone company specializes in producing electronic equipment needed to control first-person view (FPV) drones. Its Cobra X V4 headset has become a favourite among both military and civilian users because of the quality and stability of its images and signal control.
