*Mucho Macho* (1962) is an animated allegory addressing the dangers of neutrality in the fight against communism. The film follows train conductor Manolin as he warns passengers Don Fiero and his daughter Ava about the threat of local bandits. Despite the warning, Don Fiero and Ava refuse to bear arms, declaring that defending the train is not their responsibility. They hide their heads in buckets of sand and post signs reading “Neutral, Do Not Disturb.”

Their neutrality proves futile when the bandits, Lios and Chente, target them first for robbery. This animated story delivers a powerful message about the perils of inaction in the face of ideological threats. Presented by Dibujos Animados S.A. and directed by Pat Matthews.
