"Blue Hawaii," written by Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger in 1937 for the film "Waikiki Wedding" and was sung by Bing Crosby, whose version hit the no. 5 position on the Hit Parade chart that year (Whitburn, 1986) and Billy Vaughn's instrumental version stalled at the no. 37 position in 1959 (Whitburn, 2013). However, the performance here is notably in line with Elvis Presley's version from both the movie and the soundtrack album "Blue Hawaii" (allmusic, 2025). Although not released in the USA as a single, Elvis' album "Blue Hawaii" hit the top of the Billboard Album chart and remained on the chart for 79 weeks and was awarded a triple platinum rating from RIAA for sales over 3 million (Whitburn, 2006). The song "Blue Hawaii" opened the album as track number 1 (elvispresleyshop, 2025).
