A routine traffic stop turned into a harrowing ordeal over the weekend when 39-year-old Randolph Brown allegedly led deputies on a dangerous high-speed chase through Volusia and neighboring counties.

The incident has left law enforcement officials urging drivers to think twice before attempting to evade police.

The chaos began late Saturday evening when deputies approached Brown’s vehicle on a quiet stretch of road in Volusia County. Bodycam footage shows officers repeatedly commanding him to step out of his car, with warnings blaring: “This is the Sheriff’s Office! Get out of the vehicle!” But instead of complying, Brown slammed his car into two deputy cruisers blocking his path and sped off, sparking a wild pursuit.

From above, helicopter video captured the alarming scene as Brown weaved through traffic at high speeds, ignoring stopsticks deployed by deputies to disable his tires. Despite the hazards, he continued driving recklessly—swerving into oncoming lanes and endangering countless lives along the way.

The pursuit finally came to an end when Brown lost control of his vehicle, slamming into another car at a red light. Moments later, helicopter video footage shows him bolting from the wreckage, only to be taken down by a K9 unit moments after exiting his car. Growls from the dog echoed as deputies arrested Brown following the violent takedown.

Brown now faces multiple charges including aggravated fleeing, battery on a law enforcement officer, and several counts related to reckless driving. Authorities say this isn’t the first time Brown has been involved in similar incidents, highlighting a troubling pattern of behavior that puts both law enforcement and civilians at risk.
