In Scandinavian belief, the draugr, also known as the draugar or draug, is a dead person who lives on in his burial mound and poses a great danger to the people in the neighbourhood. In Scandinavian belief, it is believed that the body of the dead person lives on with full vitality, but no longer has a soul. It is believed that a draugr looks like a zombie with open wounds, is covered in blood and has superhuman powers. You could say it is a Viking zombie.
