Alberta Social Worker suggests 52yr old woman is trapped in the wrong body

In this episode of A Conversation With Emily we meet Heather from Alberta Canada. Heather shares with Emily how in 2017 when she sought help for her grief after loosing 5 people in one year, 2 being her mother and sister, a social worker suggested to her that her emotional distress was actually caused by her being a man trapped in a woman's body. Heather was 52 at the time.

Should our mental health workers be suggesting such radical ideas to patients?
