400 Healthy Ostriches Must Be ERADICATED Says Canadian Food Inspection Agency

On January 24, 2025, four Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) agents arrived at Universal Ostrich Farms for a ‘protocol check.’ During the inspection, the farm owners pleaded with the agents, explaining that their ostriches were healthy and thriving, only to be told that the birds were sick and must be exterminated.

The situation between the Canadian government, the farm owners, and a growing coalition of supporters and scientists determined to save the ostriches is intensifying. What makes matters even worse for the CFIA is that the ostriches are not getting sick or dying, contradicting every expectation from officials. The four CFIA agents were suited up in full hazmat gear, whereas the farm's caretakers since day one simply wore their approved attire of farm coveralls.

The global attention and support from the public, scientists, media, and politicians presents a significant problem for the CFIA, who are determined to slaughter these majestic birds and ignore the scientific opportunity they represent. Not only can these ostriches provide crucial insights into avian flu resistance, they can also advance our understanding of natural immunity, potentially reshaping global health research.

Why, then, does the Canadian government seem determined to eliminate the very birds that could offer hope for humanity?
