Inaugural Southwest Detroit Restaurant Week kicks off Oct. 5

The first ever Southwest Detroit Restaurant Week kicks off Friday, Oct. 5 and lasts through Sunday, Oct. 14.  The event is meant to garner some attention to restaurants you might not have heard of in one particular Detroit neighborhood. Latin American cuisine will be the focus of the inaugural festivities, with more than 20 participating restaurants providing special menus that will "showcase traditional and affordable" food options.
