After 150 days of flooding, God remembers Noah and all the living creatures in the ark. The waters begin to recede, and the ark comes to rest on Mount Ararat. Noah sends out a raven and a dove to test if the earth is dry, and when the dove returns with an olive leaf, he knows the land is drying up. Finally, God commands Noah to leave the ark, and Noah builds an altar in thanksgiving. God then promises to never again destroy the earth with a flood.
