This interview aired on the 25th of June 1993, as a segment on the show, 'Fresh Air', on CBC Radio station. The interviewer is 'Marty' (Marjorie) Moss-Coane.

In this interview le Carré talks about (the then state of) world politics, the pivots of the intelligence organizations to new enemies, after the end of the Cold War, and about his new book, at that time, 'The Night Manager.'

An author at the pinnacle of the espionage genre, Le Carre has written such classics as 'Smiley's People', 'Tinker Tailor, Soldier, Spy', and 'The Russia House'. Le Carre has shifted his gaze to the Gulf War and international arms dealers in his new novel 'The Night Manager' (that deals with the shadowy intersection of international arms dealing and intelligence operations).
