Judge halts Trump's federal employee buyout plan hours before deadline

A federal judge Thursday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump's plan to offer federal employees a buyout as a way to encourage them to resign.
The ruling came just hours before the midnight deadline.
U.S. District Judge George O’Toole Jr. in Boston set a hearing for Monday at 2 p.m. to consider blocking the buyout further and told the Trump administration to notify workers of the delayed deadline.
