The Sturdy Spitfire - Triumph Spitfire

Built from a forgotten prototype, the Triumph Spitfire would in fact become one of Britain's most successful export models, with 75% of examples going overseas, while in the United States, a seemingly impossible market for UK automakers to enter, the Spitfire was lauded and loved by customers across the nation, the Spitfire even being able to whether the storm of British Leyland's mechanical and cosmetic changes with surprising dignity, and is remembered today as one of the finest roadsters ever built.
