Jesus The Great I AM

Our Lord Jesus Christ is God. He always has been, and He always will be. In John 1:1-3 we see that nothing was made without Him. He ever liveth and He is the only way to eternal life.

When Moses asked God what His Name was, He said, I AM that I AM. And in the Gospel according to Saint John, our Lord Jesus made seven I AM statements, all of which tell us that He is GOD.

I AM the bread of life — John 6:35, 41, 48, 51
I AM the light of the world — John 8:12, 9:5
I AM the door — John 10:7
I AM the good shepherd — John 10:11, 14
I AM the resurrection and the life — John 11:25
I AM the way, the truth, and the life — John 14:6
I AM the true vine — John 15:1, 5

The mighty God put on flesh and blood so that He could come down to earth as the sinless sacrificial Lamb of God, and take away the sin of His people.
