FORGOTTEN SCI FI TV PRESENTS: "Star Maidens" (1975)

Star Maidens is a British television series produced in 1975, but aired in 1976, consisting of 13 episodes. It tells the tale of a female-dominated society from the planet Medusa, thrown out of orbit from their own sun and eventually coming into proximity of earth's solar system. With some production and cast crossovers with "Space: 1999," there were interesting visual similarities between the two series. Several episodes were written by Doctor Who screenwriters John Lucarotti and Ian Stuart Black.
