A swarm of earthquakes, ranging from magnitude 3 to 5, has been shaking Greece’s Santorini island every few minutes, prompting authorities to bolster emergency plans.

While experts cannot determine if a larger quake is imminent, evacuation contingencies are in place, and public events, schools, and access to certain areas have been restricted.

Thousands have already left the island, and additional ferry and flight services have been added.

Though no major damage has been reported, minor rockslides and cracks in older buildings have occurred, the Associated Press has reported.

Authorities are also preparing for possible power and communication disruptions.
