Minnesota House DFL press conference

DFL Leader Melissa Hortman, DFL Floor Leader Jamie Long and other Democrat legislators discuss an agreement to organize the Minnesota House, effective today.

Details of the agreement include
-Republican Rep. Lisa Demuth of Cold Spring will be speaker of the House for the two-year term.
-Republicans will have control of all House committees through a March 11 special election and will retain a majority for two years on a new fraud and oversight committee.
