AR-0130: One of the more well-known Canadian slashers of the 1980s, this cult classic has Melissa Sue Anderson [a well-known actress of the era who was in a classic family drama at the time called "Little House on the Prairie" which I used to watch on TV as a kid in the early 1990s - she took time off from the show to start in this movie] play an amnesiac high school student whose friends in the top clique in school wind up being the victims of a mysterious killer who has a serious axe to grind - and is actually connected to our Final Girl protagonist in a substantial way [& no, they are not lesbians, so those pervs in the back row over there should shut up!].

This film had a crappy DVD release in the 2000s with some bullhitsa temp soundtrack, which got rectified in later reissues, my archive print coming from the Australian DVD from Shock Entertainment as part of their "Cinema Cult" range, which had the original soundtrack, and for a cult Canuck slasher, this one should have been good, but instead falls flat on its @$$ due to some seriously sloppy scripting, mediocre kills and lack of gore. It does however live up to the infamous "kabab through the mouth" artwork the movie got marketed with, so there's that...

My Grace: D+ [Disappointing]
