“OUTRAGEOUS” GRACE PART 5

Ephesians 2:8, “It is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith - and it is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not works, so that no one can boast.”
The Message: “Saving us is all God’s idea . . . and al His work. All we have to do is trust Him enough to let Him do it. It’s Go’s gift from start to finish.”
WHY DOES GOD EXTEND OUTRAGEOUS GRACE TO US?

1. TO REMIND US WE ARE ACCEPTED
"Christ has accepted you." - Romans 15:7
"Even if my mother and father forsake me, the Lord will receive me." Psalm 27:10

2. TO ASSURE US WE ARE LOVED

"The mountains and hills may crumble but My love for you will never end,' so says the Lord who loves you." Isaiah 54:10

3. TO CONVINCE US WE ARE VALUABLE

Two things that determine value
1. Who Owns it
"You belong to God." 1 John 4:4
2. What someone is willing to pay for it.
"You have been bought and paid for by Christ [in other words, His own life He gave for you], so you belong to Him." 1 Corinthians 7:23
"God says, `You are precious to me.'" Isaiah 43:4

4. TO PROVE TO US WE ARE FORGIVABLE.

"I am the God who forgives your sins and I do this because of who I am.I will not hold your sins against you.” - Isaiah 43:25

5. TO ENCOURAGE US TO SHOW OUTRAGEOUS GRACE TO OTHERS
Be kind and (OUTRAGEOUSLY) compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ god forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
