How to achieve next level of listening for God's voice

There's listening and then there's deep listening or intent listening...
Sometimes I rush into things because God's been blessing me thinking that it's the right path. Anyway there's something in here for both of us. It blessed me so I felt led to share it with you. Here's the backdrop of the story... in the book of 2 Chronicles 35:20-23, King Josiah was fatally struck by an arrow during a battle at Megiddo against the Egyptian Pharaoh Necho. Despite warnings not to engage in the conflict, Josiah went into battle, where an archer shot him, causing a severe wound that ultimately led to his death. After being hit, Josiah instructed his servants to remove him from the battlefield and transport him back to Jerusalem where he died and was buried in the tombs of his ancestors.
