The Stegosaurus
The Stegosaurus is a dinosaur that lived around 150 million years ago. Many of these bones were found in America. The Stegosaurus was about 8 metres long and 3 metres high. A Stegosaurus weighed around 4.5 tonnes. Although it weighed so much, it only had a small skull and a small brain. There is also a theory that the Stegosaurus had a second brain at the beginning of the tail because there was a cavity there, but it is not known for sure. It had a tail with spikes at the end with which it could defend itself. The Stegosaurus could swing its tail skilfully and attack with it. It also had strong bone plates. The Stegosaurus fed on plants.
