Mike Epps had enough of Jacquees

Picture a backstage lounge where comedian Mike Epps is trying to unwind, scrolling on his phone and sipping a water. Across the room, R&B singer Jacquees is hunched over his own device, quietly murmuring a half-finished melody—one that sounds, to Mike, like a bad remix of elevator music. Jacquees, lost in his creative process, bobs his head and occasionally throws in random humming ad-libs.

At first, Mike politely endures the off-key improvisation. But soon, the pseudo-song grows grating. He glances over, his eyebrows creeping up with mounting disbelief, wondering if anyone else hears how ridiculous it sounds. Finally, in a burst of comedic exasperation, he strides over to Jacquees and snatches the phone from his hands—lightheartedly, but firmly enough to say, “That’s enough, man.” Jacquees looks up, bewildered and mid-hum, as Mike raises the confiscated phone in mock triumph.
