What are you thinking about?

The media bombards us with stories of celebrities, politicians, and criminals, but we don't consider how they affect our minds. Music and movies are filled with impurity and untruths, that are not edifying to our spirits which negatively affect our thoughts and behaviour.

The Bible tells us we are to think about what is true, honourable, right, pure, lovely, commendable, and which is excellent and worthy of praise. Jesus is the Truth, so we should learn what He taught. Get to know Him more intimately every day. As we do that, He will transform us, changing how we think and behave, and our desires for things will change. The Holy Spirit will convict us of what is wrong, then we need to repent right away.

The way of the world leads to death, but Jesus Christ gives us life.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4: 8-9
