How Gangs and International Drug Smuggling Work

I talk to a former gang member and international drug smuggler Chet Sandhu. We talk about how he got through airport security, how he got caught smuggling and his life as a gang member and how gangs work. We talk about how gangs make money, as his gang owned a brothel and was making money through running prostitution. We also talk about his experience in maximum security prison and gangs in prison.
Chet Sandhu is known as King of Karachi, as he bribed airport personel and police officers in Pakistan, where he got his drugs from. He started smuggling through airports (through mules) on his own, after working for a firm (which is a synonim for a gang) in the UK. After a life of crime he turned his life around and is now helping people in India who deal with poverty and corruption. We also discuss corruption in India and how easy it is to bribe the staff, including airport security.

My guest is Chet Sandhu a.k.a ‘King of Karachi’ – a former gang member. Gurchettan ‘Chet’ Sandhu lived a life of luxury and hedonism until his drug smuggling empire came crashing down around him. It was then he was sent to one of Europe’s most notorious prisons in Spain, where violence and turf wars were rife.
