Faithful Hearts
Host: Sharon
Welcome to today's episode. I'm Sharon, and it's a joy to have you join me as we reflect on the Scripture readings. We'll also honor the saints traditionally celebrated today and gather inspiration from their holy lives. Let's begin by opening our hearts to the wisdom and grace of the Church’s teachings."

Sharon: 1. Scripture Readings from the 1962 Roman Missal
Mass of the Feria (or Votive Mass if no Saint's Feast)
Epistle: 2 Timothy 2:1-7
"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace which is in Christ Jesus: And the things which thou hast heard of me by many witnesses, the same commend to faithful men, who shall be fit to teach others also. Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with worldly concerns, that he may please Him to whom he hath engaged himself."
Reflection:
St. Paul reminds Timothy—and us—to remain steadfast in the grace of Christ. The imagery of the soldier highlights the importance of discipline and detachment from worldly distractions. As soldiers for Christ, we are called to persevere in spiritual battles and maintain our focus on serving God.
Gospel: Luke 6:27-38
"But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that calumniate you... Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and you shall not be judged."
Reflection:
This passage from the Sermon on the Plain calls us to radical love and mercy. Christ's command to love our enemies is a divine challenge, but it is essential for our journey to holiness. We are invited to mirror the mercy of God, who loves and forgives us despite our sins.

2. Traditional Saints for February 4
St. Andrew Corsini (Bishop and Confessor)
St. Andrew Corsini was a 14th-century Carmelite bishop of Fiesole, known for his life of penance and charity. Before his conversion, he led a worldly life, but through the prayers of his mother, he experienced a profound transformation. As a bishop, he was a peacemaker and a model of pastoral care. His story reminds us of the power of conversion and the intercession of holy mothers.
Reflection:
St. Andrew Corsini's life is a testament to God's mercy and the transformative power of grace. His journey from sin to sanctity encourages us to trust in God's ability to renew our hearts.

4. Closing Prayer
Sharon:
Let us now turn to prayer, asking for the intercession of St. Andrew Corsini and the strength to live as faithful witnesses of Christ.
Prayer:
"Almighty and merciful God, You transformed the heart of St. Andrew Corsini and made him a shepherd of peace and holiness. Through his intercession, grant us the grace to seek continual conversion and to detach ourselves from the distractions of this world. Help us to love as You love and to forgive as You forgive. Strengthen us to be soldiers for Christ, steadfast in faith and filled with mercy. May we one day share in the glory of eternal life with You. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen."
