More horrific stories are beginning to emerge out of Western North Carolina after President Trump’s visit shortly after taking office. Haven on the Hill confirms “over 50 families” have been living like refugees for 4 months, relying on donations of food and propane to make ends meet. With the discovery of corrupt spending reports coming out of USAID such as $50 million for condoms to Hamas Terrorists in Gaza and more millions of dollars on transgender propaganda in South American countries, I’m more infuriated than ever how my people in Western North Carolina have been treated by our government. Not everything is doom and gloom as we’ve got a new Acting FEMA Director, former Navy Seal and friend of the show Cameron Henry is now on the job and he gets it. And yes, neighbors are still helping neighbors these many months after Helene devastated the area. They are known to the locals as their angels. My guest today to give us an update on Hurricane Helene recovery efforts is Shawn Hendrix, he is one of the great Americans getting the job done for the people of Western North Carolina. Shawn Hendrix has over 25 years of experience in film in tv which would eventually lead him to competing in a MrBeast challenge to survive 100 days in a circle. Shawn is a survivalist and has served in search and rescue and firefighter roles as a volunteer for over 7 years. Most recently he has garnered attention for his work in Western North Carolina with Operation shelter.
