Biosludge; Contaminating Oklahoma Farmland With Sen. Shane Jett, Rep. Jim Shaw and Saundra Traywick

Biosludge, or humanure, is the treated remnants of sewage sludge which is used by many farmers as fertilizer. For several years, Oklahoma Donkey Dairy owner, Saundra Traywick has been raising awareness of the practice as dangerous to farmers and farmland.

Because biosludge comes from treated sewage water, anything that enters the sewer - including contaminants and cancer causing agents like PFAS (forever chemicals used as firefighting foam and to create waterproof barriers on fabrics) can be spread into farmland from its application.
