The Iron Horse (1924)

Directed by John Ford that dramatizes the construction of the First Transcontinental Railroad in the United States. The story follows Davy Brandon, a young man whose father was killed by Native Americans while surveying a route for the railroad. Years later, Davy becomes a surveyor himself and joins the effort to complete the historic railway, facing hardships, sabotage, and betrayal along the way.
